    Background

I first began my career in Human Resources at Six Flags Magic Mountain where I maintained ordinance on over 3,000 employees. I performed job interviews and exits, regulated policies and procedures, conducted orientations and created work schedules for the largest department at the theme park. At Six Flags I was able to develop and facilitate my communication, employee engagement and problem-solving skills. From there I began working at Parents Television and Media Council (PTMC), where I train interns and new employees, plan company fundraising events, audit the bookkeeping and records, develop community outreach strategies, and create new protocols that have improved employee morale and performance. While at PTMC, I grew my client service, communication skills both orally and in writing, and increased my leadership role where I first began as an assistant to being promoted to a Development Administrator. To keep abreast of the latest laws, practices and trends, I became an active member of PIHRA (Professional in Human Resources Association). I have also obtained a Masters of Business Administration degree to strengthen my organization and business skills as well as currently pursuing a PHR certificate where I am scheduled to take the PHR/SPHR exam in August.
