Background
• Shift Supervisor for Cogeneration plant. • Training material creator for new equipment/systems created from Capital Projects. Individually instructed division (50+) employees on new systems and ensured OSHA compliance. • Petroleum Refining Operator/Head Operator/Special Assignment projects. • Petroleum Refining Head Operator/Supervisor for all finished high value products. • Providing oversight on refinery fuel gas system with makeup supply coming from So. Cal Gas. • 20-year member of refinery Emergency (Fire) Response Team. • Primary head operator for the Valve/system automation project. Testing was performed every 4-hours to ensure environmental compliance. The goal was to locate and isolate drains that went into large separators, micro-bacteria basins and downstream treatment systems. The risk was contaminating the Santa Monica Bay. • Primary contact for the implementation of several critical programs. This includes: • The creation and implementation of a singular refinery (FileMaker) turnover database. • The creation and implementation of the Refinery handheld vibration monitoring system. • Product Mass Balance/Optimization.
